TIn 2006 ASPP launched its Mentoring Program entitled “Expose Yourself to Careers in the Photo and Visual Media Industry”. The goal of the program is to provide a forum for college-level photography students where they can learn about the opportunities and choices for careers as picture professionals. The Mentoring Program sends a panel of ASPP members into a given school or educational environment to provide students with concrete information and advice about finding a direction and how they can expand their photographic abilities or interests. The panel includes representatives of several different professional disciplines, including professional photographers. The Program is administered through ASPP local chapters, and to date has been held in Chicago and Washington D.C. Initial sponsorship has been provided by Image Source.
