Update on the Senate Hearing about Intellectual Property

Lucinda Dugger, Director of Outreach for The Copyright Alliance issued this statement today:

It was great to hear from so many of you who were able to watch the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Wednesday about "targeting websites dedicated to stealing American intellectual property." The testimonies of best-selling author Scott Turow and Rosetta Stone's CEO Tom Adams were both well-received by the Committee. They both spoke passionately about the need to protect individual creative works and America's innovative businesses from online infringing websites.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: If you missed the hearing, you can view the webcast or read the testimonies here.

THE HEARING IN SUMMARY: The Copyright Alliance blogged about various aspects of the hearing this week; check out what we had to say here:

YOUR VOICE: I may sound like a broken record here - but I can't tell you enough how important your voice is in these debates. No one else can speak up for your rights how you do. So, please contact your elected officials, blog, Tweet, and Facebook about this. Tell your friends. Call your mother. Everyone needs to hear from you that your rights equal your livelihood.
