Julie Grahame to be a Juror for the International Fine Art Photography Competition

The International Fine Art Photography Competition invites emerging and mid-career photographers from around the world to submit work to to the competition—an annual program focused on providing recognition and exposure for talented photographic artists of all ages (18 years and older).
The winners of the competition receive cash awards, as well as exhibit and publication opportunities. The winning work will be exhibited in Paris during the November 2012 Mois de la Photo, published in an exhibit catalog and aCurator Magazine, and will be accepted into the collection of the Bibliothèque nationale de France. The grand prize winner will be awarded the Grand Prix de la Découverte in an awards ceremony at the exhibit opening.
The competition is open to photographers around the world and will be juried by an exceptional panel of judges, noted for their wide-ranging experience and expertise in fine art photography. The jury includes photographers Jane Evelyn Atwood and Michael Kenna; Jean-Claude Lemagny, honorary curator of photography for the Bibliothèque Nationale in Paris; David Travis, former Chair of the Department of Photography for The Art Institute of Chicago; Julie Grahame, publisher of aCurator Magazine; and Alexandre Percy, Director and Co-Owner of the Acte2 Galerie in Paris.
Submissions open May 7, 2012 and close August 15, 2012.
Early bird submission from May 7–July 15, 2012.
AWARDS
The Grand Prix de la Découverte winner (the photographer with the outstanding image of the year) receives an award of $5,000, travel to Paris, and a weekend stay in The City of Light for the awards ceremony.
Category winners receive an award of $1000.
The goal of the International Fine Art Photography Competition is to discover new talent in fine art photography and to provide recognition and exposure to deserving photographic artists.
They invite color and black-and-white submissions from photographers around the world (18 years and older). All entries are to be submitted online through this website. No other forms of submission will be accepted.
