Those promised lazy days seem to be delayed a bit for many of us in the biz, but that's a good thing! We heard you might be in Boston for HOW Design Live 2012 or are still catching up from CEPIC last month.

ASPP's National board keeps adding great new member discounts and membership options, including the grad gift and Alamy promotion that Michael Masterson announces this month in his column. Chapters are finalizing plans for great summer networking parties, like this one coming in New York.

Our publication team has just put Issue 2 of The Picture Professional to bed. This issue is imploding with information and inspriation including insights and interviews on iPhoneography and iPad apps (the i's have it!). And the always-busy Tech team has updated our chapter page layouts and given our eNews a new look.

Summer has always been my time for long reading sessions and another huge stack of books awaits, including Arnold Newman's Masterclass by William A. Ewing (Thames & Hudson). It's good to be swamped, but that hammock is calling!
