Cathy Sachs, ASPP's executive director from 1995 to 2010, was presented with the Jane Kinne Picture Professional of the Year Award in New York City on December 7th. 

The award ceremony took place at the New York Chapter Holiday party hosted by Win-Initiative.

Cathy follows in the footsteps of previous award winners: Jane Kinne, Larry Levin, Anita Duncan, Niki Barrie, Nancy Wolff, Jerry Tavin, Danita Delimont and Barbara Smetzer. Award recipients are current ASPP members who have established significant contributions to photography, made a single outstanding achievement or provided continuing service to ASPP and its members.

Cathy said "I was truly grateful to receive this award which is named after Jane Kinne, its first recipient in 2003.  Jane was a mentor to so many in our industry and she certainly was my role model.  When I was presenting this award to her that year, I was searching for words to describe her and kept coming back to 'wise.'  Jane was wise.  I can only hope that I have been able to show even a fraction of her wisdom to my ASPP family over the years.  Thank you so much for this award."

We are truly grateful to Cathy for her wisdom and support during her years of dedicated service to ASPP!
