Nancy Andrews

andrews headshot150x175Nancy Andrews is the Managing Editor of Digital Media for the Detroit Free Press and led the newspaper’s photography department into video. Under her guidance, former still photographers have won four national Emmy Awards with their video productions. Since May 2009, the staff produces a weekday newscast aired on the local CBS station. Previously, Nancy was a staff photographer for The Washington Post and was recognized as White House Photographer of the Year and Newspaper Photographer of the Year. She’s published two monographs, Family: A Portrait of Gay and Lesbian America and Partial View: An Alzheimer’s Diary. Nancy has also held several solo-exhibitions including one at the Corcoran Gallery of Art.
