  • Visit American Wing MFA Boston - New England Saturday December 18th 2010

    Join ASPP New England on Saturday, December 18th at 11:00 for a look at the new American Wing of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.  We will gather at the State Street Corporation Fenway Entrance at 10:45 am.   ON SCHEDULE

    Visitors currently have three parking options when visiting the Museum: the Huntington Lot, the Fenway Lot and the Museum Road Garage, all of which have entrances on Museum Road.

    Take advantage of public transportation.  Board the Green Line "E" train to the "Museum of Fine Arts" stop, or the Orange Line train to the "Ruggles" stop.

    The New American Café is open from 11:30 am–4:45 pm on Saturday offering a variety of hot and cold small plates, signature entrees and salads.  Crowds permitting we can sit and relax here after our visit.

     

  • Docent Tour of the Democratic Camera at LACMA

    Please join the West Coast Chapter of the ASPP for a special docent-led tour of the acclaimed exhibit:
    William Eggleston: Democratic Camera - Photographs and Video 1961-2008
    at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA)
    Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 1:00 pm.

    Docent-led tours are normally $22 per person but ASPP is offering a special ticket price of $12 for the first 20 members who preregister. It's our way of saying thank you for your support and participation in ASPP's programs and events this year. Non-members are welcome to join the tour for the normal fee.

    Let's meet at the ticket area in the LACMA Courtyard at 12:45.

    After the tour, which will last about an hour, anyone who would like to is welcome to join us for a bite to eat in the courtyard. We will have a brief meeting to update all on new developments, member benefits, plans for the new year and opportunities for all to be involved. Our new Executive Director, Jain Lemos, will be attending and this will be a wonderful opportunity to say hello.
