PODCAST – Ready For Reinvention
On November 7th the West Chapter hosted a panel discussion and workshop in San Francisco on: "Ready For Reinvention" at Blue Sky studio.
Attendees heard a panel of career professionals give practical tips, real-life stories, tools, and useful forecasts for navigating the new creative career marketplace – for those seeking change and for those in transition.
Panelists included:
- Danita Delimont (Moderator): 2009 recipient of ASPP’s Jane Kinne Picture Professional of the year, Danita is a photo agent representing worldwide travel, nature, and culture from over 300 photographers. She is past president of ASPP, current co-president of the West Chapter, NANPA Foundation board member and member of PACA.
- Erik Proulx: spent nearly 15 years in advertising, from Madison Avenue conglomerates to Main Street boutiques. He is the founder of Please Feed The Animals (http://www.pleasefeedtheanimals.com/) a blog and resource for laid off advertising professionals and creator of the film “Lemonade”, a short film about people whose unemployment was the best moment of their lives.
- Suzannah Scully: a career and small business coach in San Francisco who believes that what you do should reflect who you are. Suzannah specializes in working with creative professionals. She is also the resident Career Coach writer for the San Francisco Examiner. www.suzannahscully.com
- Michelle Estrin: Former Education Program Director/Marketing Director at Communication Arts magazine, currently working at Creative Circle, a specialized staffing agency that represents advertising and creative professionals in San Francisco. www.creativecircle.com
